The Central Community Health Board of Hamilton County, Inc. (CCHB) is a private, non-profit comprehensive community-based, non-profit behavioral health organization that provides mental health and chemical dependency treatment and HIV prevention services to the citizens of the Greater Cincinnati/Hamilton County, Ohio. CCHB was founded in 1970 and was conceived, designed and implemented in response to community interest in improving the quality of life for community members through the provision of specialized behavioral health services. Our original service catchment area included all inner-city neighborhoods of Cincinnati whose residents were predominately African American, most of whom were generally underserved by traditional health care systems.
The Department of Buildings and Inspections protects the health and safety of the citizenry by ensuring the quality and integrity of the City’s building environment. The goal is to promote economic development and maintaining the quality of commercial and residential building stock through the enforcement of established building and zoning codes.
As an organization, Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has held the space for hope when our clients and their family members may have run out of it. With every merger, acquisition, and expansion, we’ve chosen the hope-filled path—guided by the belief that we can make life better and brighter for people with mental illness, addiction, and related challenges.
The Greater Cincinnati Microenterprise Initiative, Inc., was established in 1998. GCMI is an unprecedented partnership of human service agencies, local banks and businesses working together to provide economic empowerment opportunities to individuals and communities through job creation and self-employment opportunities by stimulating and supporting entrepreneurship.
Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is dedicated to advancing the dignity and well-being of children, youth and families in need. Operating since 1969, Lighthouse is nationally recognized as an innovator in services for families in crisis, for homeless youth and young adults, and for youth learning to become self-sufficient.
The agency provides early childhood services; behavioral health and psychiatric services; home-based services to families; services to youth engaged with the juvenile justice system; community residential treatment facilities; foster care and adoption; independent living services; and opportunities through education.
Talbert House is empowering children, adults and families to live healthy, safe and productive lives. The agency’s network of services focuses on prevention, assessment, treatment and reintegration. Services are provided at multiple sites throughout Southwest Ohio.
